Vital Pyrenees was born from a deep conviction. Its founder, Albert Gomà Sala, observed how Andorra was being marketed in an overly commercial way: as just another product, without craft, without soul, and completely detached from the Pyrenees' most ancestral values.
That superficial vision drove him to found the project with a clear objective: to inspire an authentic, down-to-earth approach that respects tradition and is full of meaning.
At Vital Pyrenees, through crafting objects, we honor a culture. We express the ancestral identity of the Pyrenees and revive the crafts. Above all, we want to revive technical ingenuity and the textile craft in Andorra, restoring production made in Andorra on traditional looms to once again highlight the know-how that had almost been lost.
With 100% Barbarina sheep wool—a traditional Andorran breed since the 19th century, also known as the “rouge du Roussillon”—it comes exclusively from local flocks, in collaboration with about thirty Andorran and Alt Urgell families. The entire process, from shearing to weaving on looms and the final sewing, is carried out in the north of the Peninsula and in our artisanal and industrial workshop.
From this wool come beautiful, austere, and responsible pieces: travel and shepherd's blankets, leather bags, curtains, pillows, rugs, acoustic absorption solutions, and complete interior design projects.
Through these projects, we aim to decorate spaces to enhance people's well-being thanks to the qualities of wool, creating environments that convey calm, authenticity, and connection.
Vital Pirineus is, then, an act of quiet resistance. It is the will not to lose the identity of this small Pyrenean country and to once again highlight what truly matters: craftsmanship, full traceability, respect for the land, and a deep connection to a way of life that has endured for centuries. If you're looking for more than just a product, if you want to take a piece of the Pyrenees with soul home with you and contribute to reviving a craft that is part of our history, you've come to the right place. Welcome to Vital Pyrenees.
