Why wool

A fiber that sheep have perfected over centuries in the mountains, and that at home does the same job: protect.

Thermal insulation and temperature regulation

The fibers trap small air pockets that act as a barrier against cold and heat. In winter they retain indoor heat, and in summer they keep things cool, thus reducing the need for heating or air conditioning.

Regulates humidity and prevents mold

It can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling damp, and releases it when the air dries out. It prevents condensation and mold, and is especially valuable in green building.

Natural acoustic insulation

Its density and fibrous structure absorb sound (over 20 decibels in carpets, for example). It creates quieter spaces for living, resting, or working.

Fire-resistant

Wool is naturally flame-retardant: it contains nitrogen and water, and the flame goes out on its own without spreading or dropping burning droplets. It doesn't melt like synthetics.

Cleaner indoor air

Absorbs volatile organic compounds and emits none. Retains dust and allergens, which are removed by vacuuming. It is hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites, mold, and bacteria.

Durability and comfort

Flexible and wear-resistant, it lasts for decades. It doesn't wrinkle or sag easily, and its soft feel adapts to any style, from rustic to contemporary.
