This table runner is a piece of the highest quality for its entire craft process. The alpaca wool used to weave this garment comes from the Pitumarca Mountains. The different shades of the fabric are all natural, without any dyeing. The wool gives a feeling of softness and comfort.

As this is a completely handmade piece, a table runner may require, from the beginning to the finishes, more than two months of dedication.

The iconographies are interpretations of the Andean cosmovision : from the observation of the stars, the traditions and customs related to the rituals and energetic synchronization of spirits or matters such as Apu (mountains), pachamama (mother cosmos), teqsy muyo (mother earth), auquis (spirits), qhaha reactoneary energies) volcanoes, the sun, earthquakes, winds or energy vibrations. The traditional fabric of Pitumarca has retained its original designs and symbolism for thousands of years. The symbols are deep mysteries ethnographically embodied in every ancestral textile.

All the fabrics made by this community of weavers are a piece of the highest quality thanks to its artisanal process. The alpaca wool used to weave this piece comes from the mountains of this place. The different shades of the fabric are all natural, without any dyeing. The Pitumarca weavers' associations are in charge of weaving the piece by hand.

The alpaca fiber is spun by hand with the traditional spindle and according to a very careful technique passed down from generation to generation. Once the yarn is made, according to the different shades of the alpaca fiber, the warp begins to be made on a traditional waist loom according to the design of each table runner. Once this first step is completed, the weaver begins to weave it. As this is a completely manual process, a table runner may require, from the beginning of the warp to the finishes, once removed from the loom, more than two months of dedication.
