This table runner is a piece of the highest quality for its entire craft process. The alpaca wool used to weave this garment comes from the Pitumarca Mountains. The different shades of the fabric are all natural, without any dyeing. The wool gives a feeling of softness and comfort.
As this is a completely handmade piece, a cap may require, from the beginning to the finishes, more than one week of dedication.

Through the iconographies of the cap, the same ones that have been woven for millennia, the Andean worldview is represented, where everything is related. At the top, there is the sun, then the birds, the people, the llamas, the flowers and finally the crop fields. Thanks to this cap, the inhabitants of Pitumarca can be distinguished from the rest of the communities.

La fibra d’alpaca és filada a mà amb el tradicional fus i segons una tècnica molt acurada transmesa de generació en generació. Enllestit aquest primer pas, després la teixidora comença a teixir-lo. En tractar-se d’un procés del tot manual, un casquet pot requerir, des de l’inici del fil fins als acabats, més de dues setmanes de dedicació.
