This table runner is a piece of the highest quality for its entire craft process. The alpaca wool used to weave this garment comes from the Pitumarca Mountains. The different shades of the fabric are all natural, without any dyeing. The wool gives a feeling of softness and comfort.
As this is a completely handmade piece, a cap may require, from the beginning to the finishes, more than one week of dedication.

Through the iconographies of the cap, the same ones that have been woven for millennia, the Andean worldview is represented, where everything is related. At the top, there is the sun, then the birds, the people, the llamas, the flowers and finally the crop fields. Thanks to this cap, the inhabitants of Pitumarca can be distinguished from the rest of the communities, as well as their marital status can be known according to the side where they wear the tip of the cap.
All the fabrics made by this community of weavers are a piece of the highest quality thanks to its artisanal process. The alpaca wool used to knit this piece comes from the mountains of this place. The different shades of the fabric are all natural, without any dyeing. The Pitumarca weavers' associations are in charge of knitting the piece by hand.
The alpaca fiber is spun by hand with the traditional spindle and according to a very careful technique passed down from generation to generation. Once the yarn is made, according to the different shades of the alpaca fiber, the weaver begins to knit it. As this is a completely manual process, a cap may require, more than two weeks of dedication.
